Cross Country

King Cobra Cross Country is a youth-focused running program designed to teach kids the essentials of running while fostering a sense of teamwork. Participants will develop a solid aerobic base through pacing and gain an understanding of anaerobic techniques like lactate threshold, tempo running, and interval training. Our program also emphasizes hill running, pack running strategies, and the importance of strength training, core exercises, mobility, and flexibility. Practices are held at Fort Steilacoom Park on Mondays and Wednesdays from 6:00 PM to 7:15 PM, and Saturdays from 9:30 AM to 10:45 AM. Kids will also learn about proper nutrition, hydration, goal-setting, and selecting the right running shoes. We aim to equip young athletes with the knowledge and skills they need to excel both on and off the track.
